  1. I like this and it works equally well if you turn it to have the bit in focus at the bottom of the photon or indeed the top !. Nice job !

    • Thank you Helen! I thought about actually placing the door on the bottom of the photo but decided I liked the original better. Thank you for your comment. 🙂

      • I think when you have actually taken the photo yourself it’s hard to turn it isn’t it. When I do it I find that it never quite looks right to my eye 🙂

        • Absolutely, I’ve noticed that too. Usually if I do something like that I leave it off to the side and come back the next day to get a fresh look at it. That helps sometimes. 🙂

  2. It’s an interesting picture, though I like the left side a lot more than the right. It would be more interesting, I think, if you managed to keep everything in focus.

    • Yeah, the left side is the subject. I purposely dropped the fstop to 5.6 to blur the right side out for some DoF. I usually only keep everything in focus if the whole subject fills the frame. In this case, I enjoyed the frame of the door coming from the left towards the center. I really liked the texture, colors and the weathered look. To the right, it’s actually mold and I wasn’t planning on getting all that close. 😉

  3. I like the textures in the photo. Very nice.
